This program focuses on a variety of daily living skills, community integration and FUN for participants! Each day is registered separately and focuses on a different set of skills and activities. This program is designed by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
This program is designed to build social skills, self-determination, and skills for independence and decision making.

Thursday is a community outing day! Participants will explore and discover the many interesting places in the surrounding communities! Destinations are listed below. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch and snack, unless otherwise stated below.
Must have a moderate to high level of ability (no 1:1 staff provided) and:
-Able to complete assigned activities and outings.
-Able to express, verbally or with a reasonable accommodation, emotions/feelings/wants/needs while appropriately interacting with peers.
-Must display a desire to engage in leisure/recreation and volunteerism.

Participants will meet staff at 9:00 AM at the KSRA office, Hopkins Park Administration Building, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb, IL. Please note a few dates (marked with * ) have extended hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
